GIVE PEACE A DANCE!

So yesterday I had the pleasure of hosting "Give Peace a Dance" at Loretto High School alongside my homie Laith and let me say....it was SICK.

We opened the show with a funny ass video clip, where we basically came together with the different dance crews and made it look like "America's Best Dance Crew" auditions. We had the good.....and the bad lmaoooooo.

The dance crews were alllllllll on POINT. Every crew that performed had high energy and gave it their all and you could tell they worked maaaad hard, so kudos to them.

PG came through from the Remix Project and tore up the stage with her performance of "Lady" which is her new single (GO TO MUCHMUSIC AND VOTE FOR IT) she even had two girls make an easy 20 bucks and they danced away beside her! loool it was fun

Quenton, who is also from Remix, opened the minds in the room with his crazy spoken word performance and I tried a lil poetry too......it didnt work out too well....smh.

This beatboxer Scott Jackson KILLLLLLLLLEEEDDDDDD IT! this guy had reggae beats, soca, hip hop, MICHAEL JACKSON...he had the whole place goin MOD it was honestly one of the most insane things ive ever witnessed.

HE EVEN DID LEVEL 1 AND 2 OF SUPER MARIO 3! =|

Kim Davis ended off the night with an AMAZING performance. Rated Inc dancers actually went on beside her and made up a choreographed dance on the spot to the songs she was singin. Im not gonna lie, I thought she was gonna be cheeeesed and not like it .....BUT SHE LOVED IT . She actually told them that she might need them for her next show, which is crazy.

All in all another successful show. i'm enjoying this ride, hosting all these shows, meeting new people all the time. Tell me how i went from just doing the hosting thing and in a span of two days im a busboy and a promo model/rep. I HAVE THREE JOBS NOW . Plus i got a job interview next week at a queen st location (i aint tellin yall wheeeeeerrreeee) =)

Virgin Mic Amatuer Comedy

Yes, it is true. I'm gonna do stand up! For the first time in my young life, i'm gonna stand up in a room of strangers and attempt to make them laugh purposely....quite the feat.

To tell you guys the truth; I'm terrified. I have heard so many stand up comedians tell their horror stories about starting out and having nights where they got no laughs...thats a scary thought.

Well I had an eventful day! Woke up maaaaaaaad late, like 1ish and had to get ready and head out immediately. Laith and I are hosting "GIVE PEACE A DANCE" March 11th so we thought it would be a good idea to make a promo video for the event.

We tried making the video look like a mock of "America's Best Dance Crew". So we had all the dance crews perform for us while laith and I pretended to be the judges (he was lil mama ). Video came out sick and they got some craaaaazy performances lined up for the show so it should be fun. When that vids edited i WILL post it for yall....


THEN, i had to go straaaaaight to rehearsals for SOUNDS OF FASHION, which is goin down FEBRUARY 19TH @ COURTHOUSE NIGHTCLUB! It's honestly gonna be one of the greatest fashion shows TDot has EVER seen. Think like BET's Rip The Runway ....and thats what it is! I got a chance to see some of the models do their thing and Shannon (the other host) and I, got to make some promo vids for that as well which I should post sooner than later (shoutouts to drizzy) lool


After such a long day, Unique, Nicole (the organizers for Sounds Of Fashion) and I decided to go out and get some dinner. We started talking about the industry in Toronto and how it was soooooo harrrd to get everyone to help each other out. Honestly, nothing boggles my mind more than when people don't feel the need to put on for THEIR city. I LOVE TORONTO. I wouldnt live anywhere else and I am never ashamed of reppin my city. You guys will notice I'm always promoting shit in my tweets/statuses and half the time, I'm not even getting paid to do it! Why? Because I want everything in toronto to be a success...I want everyONE to be a success. What is so hard to help someone out in your city to achieve their goals and dreams? Especially in the music industry where most Canadian artists (sad to say) don't get taken seriously in the first place? It's a dog fight for most artists in Canada to make a name for themselves ...even recent sensation Drizzy had to fight hard and work hard to get where he is today. I dont know, I just think of your gonna claim to love your city and you want to see others become a success, there should be no hesitation in supporting everyone. Wouldn't you want an entire CITY of Drakes? #justsayin ...

I was introduced to this video by my homie Jasmine (http://altaaamodaaa.blogspot.com/) and I was BLOWN AWAY! In this video for example, she CREATES her own beat vocally and then sings a BANGER. I really respect people with that kind of vision. T o be able to create something like that from scratch is actually remarkable.

This is her audition for American Idol. I'M GONNA GO OUT ON A LIMB AND SAY SHE WILL BE THE WINNER OF AMERICAN IDOL! I said this about Jordin Sparks from the audition and I was right....I'm tryna go for two in a row LOL.

FREE WEEZY

WADDUP! Haven't posted in lightyears but imma get you guys up to speed on whats goin on within the next couple of months....

SOUNDS OF FASHION! I have the pleasure of hosting this amazing fashion show going down February 19th at Courthouse Niteclub. My good friend Unique asked me if I'd be down to host it and I was all for it. Especially since she's working with the Remix Project to get this done, I knew it was something I couldnt pass up. The show is gonna have a crapload of designers showing off their latest designs along with a lot of local and out of town performers that will be lighting up the stage with their own personal peices. Tickets are gonna be goin on sale soon at local outlets so look out for my Facebook status and tweets for more on that.



Other than that I had my Rogers TV audition for their killer show "High School Rush" that my homie Shannon was previously hosting ......and I smashed it! I think I did farely well and I'm looking forward to hearing their decision within the next week or so. They're hiring a boy and a girl so it would be a pretty dope experience and another sick thing to add to my resume.


I aaalso have an audition for a host position on a radio show! Imagine that, me ....with my own radio show. *SIGH* I could talk about relationships, sex, toronto events, local talent ....OOH OOH I COULD EVEN HAVE PEOPLE CALL IN! That would be soooooooo live. Plus if I got the radio show AND the Rogers gig I'd have a good thing goin. Rogers during the week and ThaDot FM on the weekends.....SHOULD BE DOPE! I'll keep you guys posted on that, in the meantime im just gonna be posting random things that I find on the net.....lol what? you know you do it to ...losers.
